Hello!

Welcome to my small business!  Crafting Therapy Shop has been a dream of mine for decades - my original idea was to open a brick and mortar craft shop with an ice cream counter (because who doesn't love ice cream while they shop?!).  In December 2021, I voluntarily left my almost 26 year career as a Physical Therapist, not knowing what I would be doing, but knew it was time to leave that career, due to significant burnout following the COVID years.  I was inspired and encouraged by my older daughter to open an Etsy shop in January 2022, following her lead after she had opened an Etsy shop about one year earlier, which I am incredibly proud of her for doing while she was also a full-time college student.  I slowly started making products to add to that shop and soon realized I had found my passion - creating handmade wood items with my dad in his wood shop (while spending amazing quality time with him as an added bonus💕 ), and using the invaluable sewing skills from my mom (and getting to spend more time with her also as an amazing bonus💕!).  I have learned so much since starting this journey, about myself, working on improving the overall quality of my work and continue to learn each and everyday!   I couldn't have started, nor maintained, this journey without the never-ending love and unwavering support from my entire family, especially  my husband and two inspirational daughters❤️.  I am so grateful for all my customers, and am so humbled each and every time someone chooses to spend their hard earned money on something I have created!
